I’ve come across parts of Sand that will require a good deal of retrofitting.  The actual changes aren’t drastic, but the cumulative result of small changes will be enough to alter the foundation.

That’s not bad news.  The novel will be better for it in the end.

What’s bad is I’ve reached that point in the writing process when everything—and I do mean everything!—feels like an unnecessary interruption.  I don’t want to do a darn thing except write.  The smallest things frustrate me, and then I feel very small for being so frustrated over petty things.

On the other hand, That Man sent me a beautiful bouquet to celebrate the launch of Sword and Chant.  For awhile, all I wanted to do was sit and stare at the flowers.

Yeah, I know.  Mushy.

What a sweet man you've found.

There are too many real life things to interrupt writing, aren't there?

He's a very, very sweet and thoughtful man. I'm feeling extremely lucky these days. :)
