I have been blocked by someone on Twitter. Huh! Don't know how long it's been that way. I only saw it today because someone else referenced a great conversation happening on that person's stream. Since it was someone I thought I'd followed, I checked it out and... blocked. Heck, I know I can be ornery sometimes, but I didn't think I was that annoying.

If you haven't seen it already, you can find my review of Hostage by sartorias and rachelmanija. Books very much worth reading!

Still moving ahead on Breath of Stone. More about the red-ink slaughter I committed within it later.

There is a little illness trying to sink its claws into me. It isn't bad enough to make me miserable, but it does make me slow. I ran enough of a low-grade fever that I didn't teach last night (No one wants Sensei to give them germs!), but I'll be in tonight. Saturday I teach a kata seminar, too.

I keep thinking I'll catch up on conversations around LJ -- there have been some great ones lately! -- but then get caught up in other responsibilities and deadlines. But I'm reading everything, I swear!

I loved Stranger and purchased Hostage. Just haven't had the time to start on it yet. Crazy week.

That might have been me - sorry, it wasn't personal in the sense of you doing something to offend me. You RT'ed your link to one of the accounts affiliated with Masquerade Promotions. A few months back, he/they posted some virulently unrelated to book promotion antichoice b.s. and I tried to call it out. I went through several weeks of harassment in which he/they bounced harassing emails off anyone on my feed who was connected to their various accounts. As a result, I autoblock anyone using their services. I did try talking to one writer who I know slightly IRL about it and she informed me she knew about the harassment, but didn't care. After that, I block first, ask questions later. :-(

Let me know if you at some point cease to be linked to them and I'll unblock you and reconnect out there. It just made for an unpleasant time consuming bit of nonsense to deal with him/them. And they have several accounts. :-(

I used one of their small publicity things some months ago, one time, as part of my "Let's see what works" experiments. (It didn't, fwiw.) I've no other business with them.

That said, I don't want you to feel obligated to change the block if you're hesitant. It sounds like they created a really unpleasant experience.
