About six weeks ago, my lilac bush looked like this:

But this morning, I opened the back door to let in the cool morning air.  With the breeze came the heady scent of lilac.  It looked as if the entire lilac bush--it's at least seven feet tall--had bloomed at once.

I cut bunches and bunches of them to bring inside.  Now my whole home smells of lilac!

Absolutely. The sudden difference--the color, the scent--is thrilling after a long winter.
