Birthday Goodness

Yesterday was a damn fine day.

After deciding mid-week that any Saturday plans to attend events in Indianapolis were likely to be met much weather-related stress and resistance, I was resolved to a pretty blah birthday "celebration."

Instead, Dev and I had a great time. I pulled up The Breakfast Club and, after a couple minutes of simply enduring for my sake, Dev started to enjoy it. Then we moved on to Dirty Dancing, which Dev did just slightly-more-than-endured for my sake. :) We both agreed it would be more difficult to get such movies today.

The wind gusted all day long, but the sun was out, so we went out to attempt snow-something making. Alas, the snow is too light and dry to pack into much of anything. We ended up running around with the dogs instead until our ears felt as if they were about to fall off. Back inside, and we played some video games before Dev helped me make an early dinner.

My dear son gave me his time today, and made it one of the best birthdays ever.
