Morning Miscellany
Sep. 8th, 2013 10:02 amI'll be heading to my folks' house soonly to play babysitter for my nephews while Mom and Dad pack and stack boxes. They are getting a tad frantic over the closing time window, as we all do when facing a move. Truly, has anyone ever been "ready" to move days in advance of the truck's arrival?
By the end of next week, the whole family will be on the road to Denver. Dev is going along to help with the drive and the unpacking on the other end. He's the only one of the bunch who will be heading back.
Yesterday was productive on the fiction-writing front. Once again, a simple solution revealed itself and made the pieces that were messy all clean and connectable again.
On the non-fiction front, I spent some time finalizing the print version of Choose Well. Though all looks well, I want to see the physical corrected proof before hitting "publish." I should still hit my September 15 goal.
The arm is a little better each day, and it's no longer waking me in the middle of the night to protest my movements. It doesn't hurt as much. I'm doing my best to resist the urge toward grumpiness that comes from my inability to do all I'm used to doing. I'm trying to see it as a learning experience.
