Yesterday--between Dev's algebra tutoring, my classes, and an unexpected trip to Indy International to battle day-after-Superbowl traffic--I banged out a couple thousand words to outline the first few chapters of the Indy project.
This novel has been rattling around in the back of my mind for years, and I'm very much looking forward to working on it. It has in it a bunch of ghosts, some angry earth creatures, a collection of very nasty ancient spirits, and lots and lots of karate--all set in Indiana. I've had to set aside some really cool stuff I wanted to use. Keeping it would turn the story into a poor plot-to-travelouge ratio. But there are still three sites I'll need to visit after my March trip in order to get details right.
Today I suspect I'll outline a bit more. With luck, I'll be starting the first chapter by the end of the week.
